1970s

1971: Years 11 and 12 co-education with Downlands College.

1972: St Angela and Brescia primary school buildings at 13 and 15 Rome Street sold for removal.

1973: Sister Maree Byron osu Principal (1973-1978). Opening of College single level Library built with assistance from the Commonwealth Government. 18 Rome Street purchased to be later linked to 16 Rome Street by construction of a common room to be part of Desenzano boarding house. Primary school closed.

1974: Property on the corner of Russell and Warra Streets purchased and used for playing fields and volleyball courts.

1975: Property at 5 Warra Street purchase and used as sleeping accommodation for five sisters with one large room serving as a dressmaking room (known as Ahlan). Adjoining house facing Rome Street purchased.

1978: Extension of the Science Block to give extra class rooms (S1 and S11).

1979: Sister Janet Seale osu Principal (1979-1984). First College magazine Serviam published. House adjoining Ahlan used as the Music House (St Cecelia's) and Art House (Moretto Art Centre). 12 Rome Street (Dean's) purchased as residence for boarding staff.
